I want to echo Wallace's sentiment.

They are my favorite superhero team of all time  and the Thing is my favorite superhero.

JB - I've recently been going through plenty of losses  ( my mom, my oldest and youngest brother) over the past 18 months and not much has brought a real smile and happiness in my life.

This fan fic has been one very few things that has made me happy.  You made this sad 54 year old man feel  like I'm a 12 y/o kid that can't wait for the next issue of the books you were drawing simultaneously.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!

In these times of crazy shit, we all could use something to cheer us up.

My condolences to you, James.

I know how you feel- I've had a few really tough losses in the last 6 months (father and uncle) and yes, this series has been an absolute bright spot during a dark time for me and my family.

Thank you, Mr. Byrne- for a return to a much simpler time. :)

Amazing!

There was a time I just expected comics to be this great every month.

Now I actually feel like a parade would not be out of line to celebrate what is
happening. Here, at last, are my heroes! They aren't dead, and what's more:
here's proof that they can't die!

Thank you, JB, for this magic thing you're doing.

So what was Shooter's position on splash page *hero* reveals at the end of a book? (insert laugh track here)

I saw Jim Shooter at a con in Grand Rapids, MI a few months back. I brought up the existence of this project and explained the jumping off point for the story. Actually seemed mildly intrigued by the concept. He definitely didn't expect to hear "John Byrne" and "Fan-fiction" in the same sentence.

Anyway, just a fun little quip. The keyword here is "fan", and we the fans are loving it. Epic FF page! Keep it up JB!

I almost feel bad for Sebastian Shaw! He is well and screwed now. He's no Galactus.

Hell, he's no Victor von Doom. But he sure is giving  our heroes a run for their money.

On to another nugget that was dropped a few issues back. The Sentinels  also grabbed The Blob, Unus, & the Vanisher. I wonder what role they'll play in this epic story?
