The big picture for me I that police often tend to react with their guns first when they encounter black people.
How else does a man shopping for a BB gun in a Walmart get police called on him and then shot to death in the middle of the store?
And to be clear...if Bloomberg gets the nod he gets my vote.
I would vote for a turd on a plate over Trump. So Mike clears that bar.

Today's NY Post has an article suggesting Bloomberg may pick Hillary as a running mate. Sigh.

How many voters out there are ready to get rid of the current president, but will balk, second guess or even avoid voting if certain people are the alternative? If Bernie Sanders wins the nomination my guess is there are people that would pause and perhaps not vote. If Bloomberg had Clinton as his running mate would his supporters still vote for him? I'm in the camp where I will vote for anyone to prevent a second term, but there are lots of people out there that might sit things out based on who represents the alternative. I think Hilary Clinton carries way too much baggage with her and could sour lots of Bloomberg's supporters.

If he picks Clinton, he won't win. It's just that simple (and I voted for her last time!).

Does anybody know where Bloomberg actually stands on any particular issues? Or what his plans are for anything? Health care? Foreign policy? Because if he's planning on running on his personality and likeability, that's already taking massive hits and Trump is a master character assassin.

There is zero chance Hilary Clinton joins the race in any role, especially Sanders' running mate. They openly disagree, and dislike, each other.
I predict Sanders will get the nomination, but Bloomberg will give him a run for his money. Or maybe I should say Sanders' money!
I think there is a perception that Sanders is not electable to moderates, but I don't think it's true. Trump's appeal to moderates in 2016 was what was perceived as a plainspoken straight shooter. We have four years of lies and that "plainspoken" was really the language of a simpleton. I predict he will lose more support.
I think Sanders will hit Trump hard with truth bomb after truth bomb, and his candor will appeal to moderates. Sanders enraged his colleagues when he went on Fox News, but to me that was his nod that he will work for, and talk to, everybody.
While I greatly admire Bloomberg's desire to unseat Trump, I don't think his approach will work. I'm seeing his approach as countering Trump's wealthy guy status with his own, and meeting him on an equal playing field. But Bloomberg is miscalculating Trump's reach, like so many of of Trump's past opponents have done. Trump is a creature of reality TV, an invented lie that people want to believe. His die hard supporters are set in stone - I don't see them going to Bloomberg.
I think sanders will take it, and Bloomberg may be a running mate if he does well on Super Tuesday.

The source the Post cites for this claim is Matt Drudge. The source Drudge cites is anonymous "sources close to the Bloomberg campaign." In other words, this is total bullshit, planted as a way to undermine Bloomberg and scare people who might otherwise support him.

As I have mentioned on more than one occasion, when I was growing up in Canada there was a political party called the Progressive Conservatives. That, minus the upper case, is pretty much how I define myself—let us go forward, carefully. That’s what Bloomberg feels like, to me.

I will be stunned if *any* candidate chooses Hilary as a running mate. The Democrat machine cannot possibly be so tone deaf as to not know that Hilary simply reeks of an entitlement and desperation to sit in the Oval Office in some capacity that people just can't stand.

Beyond the fact that the "Hillary as running mate" rumor comes from an extremely questionable outlet with a known right-wing agenda and is unsourced to boot, it also doesn't pass any sort of common-sense consideration. At this point Hillary is widely disliked by both Democrats and Republicans. There really is no upside to having her on the ticket. And if we are aware of this, certainly Bloomberg is as well... he is no idiot. There's no plausible reason why he (or anyone who hopes to win) would consider Clinton as a running mate at this point.
