JB, someone elsewhere believes he saw the original of the attached image...

“I’ve also seen the original artwork (before the coloring and labels were put on) which includes John & Jerry's signatures.”

Can you please confirm this?

Found it on Google—but what are you asking?

Apologies. I’m just looking to confirm if you were involved in the artwork for that cover.
The weird thing about my initial post here is when I click on “edit,” it shows the image. Gah!

I signed it, so I guess I drew it, but once again by the time Ordway was finished with it I might as well have turned in a blank page.

Wow... all these years I never noticed the initials and assumed it was all Jerry Ordway on that cover! Now that I look closely,  I can see some of JB's style peeking through,  but it is  definitely overwhelmed by the inking.

When Ordway inked "The Fantastic Four," he didn't seem so overpowering in his approach.  By the time he inked the "JLA" arc, he was steamrolling over the pencils!

This is the same Ordway who redrew a Curt Swan Superman to look like his own.

Ack! That is like seeing Kirby's Thor pages before Colletta got to them.

JB - do/did you usually know in advance who the inker would be for a project like this?

I wanted to see how closely the inks matched the original pencils* so I dropped both into Photoshop.  Futzing around with the layers produced a pretty neat effect that I thought I'd share with the class.

*For the record, Ordway definitely followed the original very closely while simultaneously introducing a line style that manages to completely obliterate JBs style, which is a pretty interesting trick.
