That seems to be exactly Mr. Miranda's point -- he's using
art, imperfect as it is, to reshape the legacy of the
Founders.

My worry is, that with the general low IQ shown by many in
this world, and the general inability to look up what
actually happened and take any telling at face value, the
reality will be diluted and arguments that slavery was a
myth would be strengthened.

VEEP slipped in a gag about HAMILTON being about our first Puerto Rican president.

In many ways, there is Wikipedia-think at work here. The assumption is that people will seek wider knowledge, but will they? I have more than once had to correct people who got their “history” from movies.

Including myself, as I got older and (hopefully) wiser!
