Let’s see what happens @ the Ford plant visit today shall we?
Who backs down, Trump or Ford - will he wear a face mask as
mandated by Ford?
Or will he walk away & slag Ford on Twitter?
Or will Ford relent & break its own H&S policy?

Those are the only three options I can see happening, & I know which
one I think is the most likely.

Thanks Neil.
We all need the personal force field that Trump seems to possess

Hardly anyone in MI is wearing masks whether they are required or not so I'm
not surprised by Ford.

It has become a political statement of defiance to the governor and support of
Trump to not wear one.

The true pandemic is stupidity

Our county's number of cases has gone up 125 or so cases in the last
two days. Our city and county mayors have a daily briefing thing and
they just ripped in to everybody yesterday. The problem is, due to the
city and county charters, they aren't allowed to issue any kind of stay at
home order or to close business or anything. All that has to come from
the state level. So, their hands are tied other than just asking people to
social distance, wear a mask, etc... And in a county that bleeds Trump
Red, they're fighting a losing battle.

I’m not sure what counts as “hardly anyone”...and I’m not sure where in Michigan you live....but here in southeastern Michigan (metro Detroit) masks are being worn.  My GF and I wear ours....as do many in my building.  I’d say every other person you see on the street In downtown Detroit where I live is masked.  And you can't go into a grocery store in my area without one.

As for Ford and Trump...I’m am not surprised Ford buckled under.  For some reason It seems like you can count on your two hands the people who are willing to stand up to him regardless of the situation.  And most of them are women of color.

Fucking ridiculous.

Nonessential businesses will be opening in Illinois on May 29th with certain restrictions in place.  For an example, restaurants can only open for outdoor dining, nothing inside.  Barber shops and salons can open, with only a limited amount of people allowed in and workers wearing masks and disposable gloves.

According to the failing NYT, our county/city it the fourth fastest growth
in the nation. We’re doubling every 11 days. Good thing the whole
fucking state removes all restrictions tomorrow.
