Speaking of the 70+ (as well as anyone else) the major pharmacy
players (Walgreens, CVS) are waiving all delivery fees for prescriptions.
I’d strongly advise taking them up on the offer...their staff is at high risk
for exposure, and therefore passive transmission...keeps everybody a
bit safer.

SF Bay Area is being asked to shelter in place starting at midnight and lasting at least until April 7th. Non essential business are being asked to shut down.

Still developing.

I'm going to guess based on what I am dealing with (along with my wife and other family members and friends) companies are not prepared to tell their employees what to do in regards to a shelter in place

In Maryland, Governor Hogan has shut down (as of 5PM EDT) the following:

Bars
Restaurants
Movie Theaters
Gyms

He also has activated the National Guard to enforce the closures.

After a few days of hemming and hawing, my company has sent an email saying "if you can work from home, please do so," which is a step up from where we were on Friday, which was "if you want to, you can choose to work from home."

Since I'm in the marketing department, I can easily work from home.  Not sure just what they're going to do about the manufacturing teams.  Here be dragons, and all that.

Sure hope I still have a job when this is all over.

Had to go grocery shopping interesting was the one guy almost went into my
cart to see if I purchased all whatever he wanted. He stopped himself but you
can see the registered panic this guy had. I wouldn't have cared if took what
was in my cart but I think it wasn't he thought he needed.

I figure we are mere days to some kind of lockdown here in MI. The only
reason I went shopping I really didn't want to but I hadn't bought any groceries
in weeks... I generally just a buy a few things here and there after work.

With a virus incubation period of 3-5 days, until everyone is locked down for at least that period of time then you don't know who has it. There are lots of infected asymptomatic individuals that are simply spreading the virus even though they feel fine.

In Melbourne, they have identified the antibodies produced to fight this particular virus. That is huge with regard to developing a vaccine. If this virus is a "one and done" virus then you will be fine after you have had it and survived or been vaccinated.

Get ready for the next six months as the world adjusts what is considered "normal living". I am particularly interested in seeing how the world pressures China to change their wet markets and wild animal farming industry since this is not the first time their practice has caused a zoonotic virus outbreak, but certainly the most damaging in history.

Better to just build a wall around Trump, eh?

And here's my situation...

I had my contract ended about a month ago. So I don't go to work.
We have one car, so my wife takes it to go to work every day.*
As we're on a tight budget, I don't go out shopping.
And I have a ruined foot, so I don't go out for walks or any such.
I don't get any visitors or such - my friends don't like me that much. I don't even get Jehovah's Witnesses.

I'll tell you what... I was prepared for this friggin' virus a month ago!

*Yes, I know. I can take her to work and use the car if necessary.

My whole life/career has been self-isolation—but I don’t like being told I must do it!

Yeah, the main reason I took my current job was because of their work from home policy. Then they took it away.  Now that their forcing me to do it, I just want to go in to the office!
