Marc, we just shut off any of our investors that have even a whiff of non-QM features as no one is buying them on the back end. Top that off with having appraisers and inspectors rightfully refusing to enter homes to inspect and photograph, and we're just about dead in the water as a lender despite low interest rates.

I'm working from home. Feeling very fortunate to be living in a great place -
this is probably the best home I've had in all my time in Los Angeles. My only
concern is that all of my favorite books, movies and shows are all here, so I
need to structure my work day to stay focused. I have been good about having
no TV during the day and keeping regular hours. I am basically staying OUT of
the living room altogether!

We've had rainstorms all week in usually sunny Los Angeles. I've still been
able to keep the windows open during the day and getting a nice cross breeze.

Just last month I threw away my old hiking shoes - they were worn and started
developing those telltale holes that form on the sole. One of my last
purchases before the stores shut down was a run to Ross to get new hiking
shoes. Glad I did as I plan to get as much hiking in as possible - we have some
spectacular trails in LA County. I think some of the more popular trails will get
closed over time - Runyon Canyon is already a "scene," so I predict we will be
hearing about clogged trails before long.

Just learned that someone in my office building tested positive.  Not in my department, as it were, or on my floor, but within spitting, breathing, touching, and germing distance.  Going be a fun 5 to 14 days (although I guess I'd subtract 7 from that, since I've been working from home since Monday).

Boris Johnson announced on Friday evening that in the UK all cafes, pubs and restaurants must close from Friday night - except for take-away food.

All the UK's nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres have also been told to close "as soon as they reasonably can".

The situation will be reviewed each month.

I’m sure Pence has an emergency plan to just take out all those infected and shoot them. NRA members are already volunteering.

I'd laugh if there wasn't a bit of truth in that statement.

Have to say, it is interesting to compare Trump & Johnson in their daily
briefings.

Despite my dislike of Johnson, I am impressed with his daily briefings.
Trump seems to be going off the deep end & I’m expecting him to go
fully insane & just start frothing @ the mouth any day now.

I've been working from home for a few years now and didn't really socialize much before this all started, so this isn't hard for me.

My wife is a nurse and works in the ICU at the local hospital. Other than a NO VISITORS policy and some extra security stationed at the entrances, they haven't undergone many changes.

So far, there are no reported cases here (we're in Bristol, VA).

James, I'm the same. No fan of Johnson, but he and the scientists with him have been clear and concise with their daily briefings. No rants. No going off script. Just informing us of the situation as it unfolds for us all.

As for Trump, he is melting down. Fauci's reaction to him said it all. Trump cannot lie, brag or blame his way out of this one. First it was a hoax, then it was the Dems, then it was the Chinese, he's running out of ground and the American people are running out of time.

In a way, this behaviour is good. He's going to be so consumed by this that Joe Biden can just work away demonstrating what a President should be doing and laying foundations. Trump wont be able to focus on Biden or the election (yet).
