A rock & roll GIANT... for me, 1/3rd of the 1950's triumverate with Elvis and Chuck Berry.

Definitely a pioneer and icon. Who is left of those who provided the foundations of rock and roll? Don Everly, Gene Vincent and Jerry Lee Lewis are the only ones I can think of that we still have.

Peter -- I think Huey "Piano" Smith is still alive. Not that he was ever that big a star. And Dion of Dion and the Belmonts.
