I was hoping for a dramatic final page splash and my expectations were exceeded!

JB, do you draw Jean taller as Dark Phoenix?

Interesting to see how much black you have to add to make what would be the red areas of her costume pop.

Paul, you weren't the only one. I'm sure lots of people thought today was new comic page day. =)

Don’t know how I could have stated it any more clearly.

(Paul isn’t saying he forgot. He’s saying he hoped I forgot!)

It has been so long since I bought anything new off the rack I've kind of forgotten about that anticipatory ache in your 12 year old heart when you have to wait for weeks or *shudder* almost a whole month to get the next part of a continued story. I can actually recall where I was when I bought certain continued story issues... Superman 328 was bought in Boston right as the school year was ending. Superman 329 (the conclusion) was bought in Nebraska during my summer vacation at my grandparents.

From the start this entire exercise by John for me has been a really enjoyable return to the feel of the comics I recall reading as a kid and part of that experience was the delayed gratification of having to wait for a small stretch for more. In this world of binge watching and instant on-demand / internet access to everything and anything, I think these interludes are good for the soul.

Based on the number of people who still don’t seem to know ELSEWHEN is happening, I imagine there must be some who are “binge-watching”, stumbling into the Forum at this late date!

Some readers have been talking it up on Facebook--reactions I've seen are all very enthusiastic--so that might account for some of the bump in readership.

I’m not aware of a “bump”. I grew so frustrated with the view count constantly jumping up and down, seemingly at random, that I asked Jeff to remove it altogether. So I have no idea of the readership.

Interest grows monthly as people purchase the art from released Elsewhen issues and post online. I’ve directed a few people to the Fanfic page in the last couple of months. Also, people are discovering it as a result of fan printed issues and anthologies. The word is spread8ngthat it exists. I wonder what fans think when catching up on a year’s worth of Elswhen?

I've tried to promote this, with varying degrees of success.

I have begun anticipating a day when it will seem like the world discovers this at once. There's something about the combination of how hard some people are finding it to locate and the sheer awesomeness and scale of the work.

It's lit to pop.
