I always thought George Clooney would have made a great
Reed Richards. He looks like Kirby's Mr. Fantastic.

And Vince Vaughan looks like he was drawn by Steve Ditko.

I've heard this before, and I totally don't see it.

Casting threads often make me despair my career choices.

I think young Angie Dickinson would have been a great Invisible Woman (Girl) -
with the ability to slide back and forth between ass-kicker and cultured team-
mom.

And with the right colored hair, Ricky Nelson would have been a great Johnny
Storm!

I've long thought a young Gary Cooper (20s or 30s era) would make a spectacular Bruce Wayne--but does that translate to Batman? I don't know.
Jessica Tandy for Aunt May. I love her look in The Birds, but I know she's not frail enough, it would have to be more like Driving Miss Daisy.
I think Adrian Brody's long face (The Pianist) would make a perfect Garcia-Lopez Joker.
Early 40s Errol Flynn for Tony Stark / Iron man.
Cybil Shepherd (The Last Picture Show) for the Invisible Girl.
Linda Fiorentino (Men In Black) for Lois Lane.

You could go for a twofer and cast David and Amber Midthunder as Shaman and Talisman, respectively.

--------------------

I'm sureI read somewhere that Stan Lee used Errol Flynn as his blueprint for Tony Stark.

Watched THE RIGHT STUFF last week.

Thought that Dennis Quaid and Fred Ward would have made a good Reed and Ben.

I can see Fred Ward. Not so much Dennis Quaid.

I think Jeffrey Hunter would have made a good Reed Richards.

When DONNIE DARKO came out I though Jake Gyllenhaal would've made a great Peter Parker.

Going through a few that I've said in years past and that I think still have merit:

Amanda Seyfried as Clea (Marvel, you could still do it!):

John Hannah as Harry Osborne:

Dennis Farina as J. Jonah Jameson:

I thought a young Ann Margaret made a great 1960s era Marvel Girl.
