Very sad to hear - a pillar that seemed would be around
forever. Much like Kirby and Ditko, I came to
appreciate him much later than I should have, but I'm so
glad I did.

We knew it was coming, but this is very, very hard.

This means “my” Marvel is gone. All the artists and writers I read in the early Sixties are no longer with us.

Keep joltin’, Joe!

His work was the reason why I became a fan of Marvel.

Very sad. His consistent presence on the Fantastic Four, especially after Kirby left, was such an important part of that book.

Very sad to see him go. The gold standard when it comes to comic book professionals and the shoulders just about every inker stands upon going forward. Sad to see him depart.

To me, Joe Sinnott defined the "Marvel House Style".

He was the final piece of the puzzle to make Fantastic Four "The World's Greatest Comic Magazine".  His inks complimented and reined in Kirby's pencils just enough.

Among the first Joe Sinnott stories I remember reading would be a reprint of FANTASTIC FOUR #48-50, and it doesn't get any better than that.

His name will always be attached to greatness at Marvel. Thank you for your good work and the memories I have of it.

Very, very sad.  His unique inking style seemed to be all over Marvel Comics for such a long period of time.  As far as I'm concerned, Joe's name should be right up there with the likes of Lee, Kirby, Ditko, Romita and Buscema, for any proverbial Mt. Rushmore of Marvel.

RIP

Very sad news. He only retired last year, still at the top of his game. Sinnott was THE Marvel inker. Amongst the first 20 issues of FF, his work on #5 was clearly the best of the bunch.
