Gene Colan was my Dr. Strange artist. I thought his whispy, flowing line worked well with the mystic arts.

Matt: Maybe I don't understand the question, but I assumed it was about artists that worked on one of the "Doctor Strange" titles.

I didn't mean to limit the question that way.
My answer is Frank Miller, even though I've only seen his Doctor Strange in one Spider-Man annual.
Realizing this was actually what prompted me to ask.
I think it must be difficult to capture an authentic sense of Ditko's creation because there are relatively few who actually do it for me.

Frank Brunner is strangely under-rated. His Dr. Strange was stunning; however, I find myself preferring Smitty's, though I suspect it may be because of my preference for an 80s look as opposed to a 70s look.
