Doing some digging online, Wanda's costume does look a bit like a Halloween outfit, so... yeah. It doesn't look like they're trying to make it a workable interpretation of the classic, but rather "look how silly these things come off in the real world."

I'd hoped for better.

Foolish optimism? Truly, I should have known it would go that way but hope dies hard.

New trailer:

https://youtu.be/sj9J2ecsSpo

Seems like a bit of HOUSE OF M, with Wanda having a breakdown and creating an alternate reality, and a smidge of Tom King’s VISION, with Vision trying to live with his family in suburbia, which I suspect will lead into a riff on JB’s Dark Wanda when it all falls apart.

This doesn’t seem like something I would like, but that might be due to
my lack of imagination. This is too weird.

How is it that cosplayers can create far, far better representations of the
comic versions of costumes that multi-million dollar ventures?

How?

Less contempt?

These would be the “Halloween” versions, I take it, but, in context, as you said...!

Wanda doesn't look so bad, but the Vision...yikes. Here's hoping that the Halloween versions "morph" into "professional"-looking versions of the traditional costumes, or something approximating them anyway.

I’ve watched the trailer over and over...and I’m loving it more and more.
So...so weird and wacky and it all heads towards the next Dr. Strange movie!

Bring it. Can’t wait!

Seems like a mash-up of JB's take along with Tom King and Gabriel Hernandez Walta's weird and wonderful Vision mini-series from a few years back.
