That's a really long time to be without power. Hope it comes back soon.

We pay through the freakin' nose for everything in the
Northeast and yet our infrastructure is... politely put...
subpar.

Yes, my supplier was switched a while back—I had no say in the matter—and things have not been great since.

I sit here thinking They’re working on this, right? They’re working on this............

They haven’t even removed the tree on the power lines down the block from us, so no power for my family :-(

So now the anticipation for JB to get his power back so he can post is only heightened !

Tangent to the X-Men... would it be kosher for Storm to
watch the weather reports and just fly out there and "deal
with" (whatever would be the best way) a tropical storm
before it does damage?

Having no power is pretty rough. Last year, I had solar panels installed — along with 3 Tesla Powerwalls... I might add a 4th.

Hang in there!

Solar panels would have gone sailing thru my neighbors windows in the winds we had.

I'd so love to get a natural gas back-up generator... but
the kind fit for my house... whew, a $15,000 price tag.
YIKES!

Power aside, I hope you didn't take any damage to your home, JB. Good luck with everything getting back to normal soon.
