As always, these types of lists should be taken with a heaping grain of salt (Civil War, really?) and are heavily weighted toward the big mega-crossover events, but Days of Future Past and The Dark Phoenix Saga are in the mix.

I stand by my assertation that AS-M 229 is the greatest comic book of all time.

This may be stretching the boundaries of what a storyline is but for me, the greatest Marvel story is the unofficial crossover of Avengers 4-5 (could toss in issue 3 for good measure) and Fantastic Four 25-26.

SECRET WARS...? Please...CIVIL WAR is better but not by a whole lot.
INFINITY GAUNTLET starts strong but, for my money, doesn't really pay off.

Eric,
Thank you!!!! I have been waiting for someone other than myself to say something similar.
IMO, AVENGERS Annual 7 and MTIO Annual 2 blows Infinity Gauntlet away.

Secret Wars was garbage. I would nominate:1. Jim Starlin’s Thanos saga 2. Neal Adams/Roy Thomas Sentinel run in X-Men 3. Walt Simonson’s Thor

FF #242-244 "Everyone vs Galactus" would definitely be on my list.

I like half the list.
And the other half sticks in my throat.
I'd be with Jason in throwing Everyone vs Galactus in there and I would also add the Roger Stern/John Buscema classic Avengers tale known as Under Siege. Which would later be very loosely adapted into a tale of a chef on a battle ship, excluding both the Avengers and the Masters of Evil.

And the Dark Phoenix Saga is represented by an issue that was not part of it.

Any list of "Best Marvel Stories of All Time" that doesn't include Spider-Man #31-33 is not a list that should be taken seriously.

I think any conversation has to start with Fantastic Four #48-50
Secret Wars has some pretty terrible dialog and was just created to sell toys (and it shows).

Any List of Best Marvel Stories of All Time should have on it also The Avengers: Kree/Skrull War by Roy Thomas/Neal Adams. The Avengers 89-98.
I'm guessing, most of the people voting for this list are probably Millennials.
Also agree with Jason.
