A brief scene from the 1950 film starring Marlon Brando titled "The Men." No, Brando isn't in this clip, but veteran actor Everett Sloane is, and look closely to see DeForest Kelley ("Dr. 'Bones' McCoy" of "Star Trek") as a fellow doctor.

Seems like one of those scenes designed to show us the character reading the comic is not very bright. That used to be one of Hollywood's clichés that frustrated me more than just about any other.

Sadly, that was the perception within the Industry, too. Comic books were seen to be for people who were not good enough to do newspaper strips.
