What I read said they're doing it to promote season 3 coming to CBS All-Access in October. But I'm betting its also due to them needing programming due to Covid-19.

There's no SURVIVOR coming, for instance.

Lower Decks would have been the smarter move

Here's a new show on CBS ST: Lower Decks something lighthearted to watch
during the pandemic.

SURVIVOR could take on a whole new meaning in our troubled times!

They’re gonna have to do a bit of editing to show it on regular CBS.
IIRC, the word “fuck” is used a few times and there are a few gratuitous
tit shots.

Also, many of the episode runtimes don't lend themselves
to network television. I wonder how badly some of them
will have to be trimmed to fit in an hour window with
ads.

Maybe it was the second season, James. I do know it showed that
Klingon girl’s when it showed a sex scene between her and that guy
that used to be a Klingon.

Looks like Season 4 is about to start shooting, even
though it hasn't been officially announced.

I can't believe CBS/Paramount just won't admit what a
financial disaster the show is and cancel it already.

(sarcasm)

What makes you believe it is a financial disaster?

I don't.

But many who hate the fact that it exists claim that it
is, because they want it to go away.
