I confess to being far less familiar with Moebius's work, which is a deficiency in my comics reading. That said, both Moebius and JB are masters at their craft. Readers are lucky to have both!

Back when I regularly bought comics, I would ALWAYS buy a Byrne book but only seldom purchase a Moebius book.  It depended on the story/character/book.

I also prefer Monet over Picasso but apparently Picasso is the greater acknowledged artist.  Whatever.  I like Monet.

I always enjoy artists acknowledging (or praising)
other artist's work and am reminded of one of my

The story goes that Moebius was meeting with Andy
Helfer, in Helfer's office. Moebius noticed artwork by
Garcia-Lopez and, upon examining the pages, Moebius
asked, "This Garcia-Lopez, he uses models, no?"

Helfer replied, "no".

Moebius exclaimed, "Son of a bitch!"
