You aren't pro-life if you:
- support the death penalty or "three strikes" legislation
- reject help (subsidized health/day care, etc.) for working/single/poor mothers & families, including SNAP or medical and dental subsidies for children
- reject properly funding public schools, libraries and other intellectual infrastructure
- think ex-cons "have it easy" (they don't) or
- want to end the ACA.

If you subscribe to those items above, you are not pro-life; at best, you're pro-childbirth. Because after that kid is born, you couldn't give a damn.

Sadly, polls show we've taken our eye off the greatest legislative threat to our democracy. Mitch McConnell is clearly ahead of Amy McGrath...

...where's the support for her? I know polls and statistics get upended by unpredictable actions, but can his selfish, hypocritical actions really NOT matter to most Kentuckians?? McConnell and the GOP have laughed while stealing Merrick Garland's seat AND filling RBG's....  also, he's done little to pass decent legislation* coming from The House in these past few years... which does little to advance the country.... which I always assumed was part of the function of the U.S. government.

Now the GOP wants to talk about Biden packing the courts if elected.

Amazing.

*McConnell has left 400+ bills on his desk to push all right-wing judges thru in record time!

We've had some coverage finally about her extreme religious beliefs. They are trying to shift it to Democratic senators to not bring religion into it, but Trump/Republican party choosing this woman and her accepting has already done just that! Separation of church and state has never been less a reality, and that's saying something.

So while they pull every possible ethics violation and undermine public trust to shove someone in to save their beloved future fetuses Trump was 'saved' by a treatment that was derived from aborted fetal tissue and promises (we know what those are worth, see: health care plan so much better than ACA) to make it available to all.

And do you think extreme Catholic Judge Coney-Barrett will back up precedent on employers paying for birth control to prevent those beloved future fetuses from ever coming into existence in the first place? Viagra they will still expect be covered but birth control pills are forbidden to many thanks to one Pope vetoing a decision by the Cardinals and Bishops, and recommendations by the Second Vatican Council "for greater integration of scientific knowledge into church teaching"! Oh no, employers covering birth control is a religious matter before it's a health issue. Fubar. :^(

If these people are so freaked about the horrors of abortion (and I'm not saying there haven't been any) why not do everything to help all women avoid ever getting to such a stage? They should be making ru486 and birth control easily available without stone-age attempts to shame girls and women from seeking either.

This Judge, more than even the woman-grabbing Kavanaugh, will unbalance the top court toward imposing a Christian creationist perspective on others away from science and established principles of the legal system. :^(

It's beyond horrifying to watch Mitch McConnell laughing during yesterday's debate with his opponent Amy McGrath about his own deliberate & unrelenting effort to prevent ANY AID from reaching the American people.

He's giddy with power and enjoys causing other people pain. He's also pretty sure he owns enough of Kentucky's political machine to keep his seat.

"Sadly, polls show we've taken our eye off the greatest legislative threat to our democracy"

McConnell has been holding judge seats open for a good part of Obama's Presidency. Not just the SCOTUS seat. As a result, Trump has been appointing judges for roughly 6 years of vacancies. That is where everyone's eye has been lacking, not just the Supreme Court. The next few generations have the potential to experience the US more like a Christian version of Saudi Arabia than the democracy laid out in the Constitution.

This is why I think US Democracy is dead.

Whitehouse outlines quite clearly how the super rich are remaking the country for themselves. It is almost 30 minutes long, but if you want to understand how the US Democracy is being changed this video does it. If you are not an evangelical Christian then you will eventually be at odds with how the US functions in the very near future.

James, I'm Jewish and I'm at odds also. How our country functions right now? Barely.

She's a monster. And doesn't even have the credentials to hold the position.

Belongs to a religious sub-group that, were it not Catholic, would surely be called a cult.

Evidently there is opposition within the ranks of Christianity.
