I was a big baseball fan when I was a kid and early teen. The Big Red Machine were my team, and Joe Morgan was one of my favorite players. RIP, Joe Morgan.

Hated most of the Big Red Machine but I respected Joe Morgan despite that annoying chicken wing move he always made at the plate in his batting stance. Skilled infielder, excellent power for a base stealer, and a really good, patient eye for judging balls and strikes. A HOFer who played baseball the right way.

Tough year for baseball...!

Joe Morgan's two consecutive MVP years, 1975-1976, are about as good overall baseball as anybody could ever play.

I loved The Big Red Machine (with the exception of Pete Rose, but that's anther story), and Joe Morgan was the engine of that team.

It was just amazing to watch a little guy like Morgan dominate a game like he did in the mid-70's.

If the Reds had had just one of the great pitchers of that era, they could've won maybe five World Series!

Great ballplayer!
Also liked him as a commentator.
Other than the chicken wing flapping, always remembered how tiny his glove was.
