WRONG IS RIGHT was one of those films I would have eventually forgotten, were it not for what appeared to be an ad-lib by Connery right before the end credits (Connery looking at the camera, and Robert Conrad's reaction to what happens next, makes me believe it was unscripted).

Maybe his best performance... THE HILL. But he was gold virtually everywhere. As with JB, I discovered Connery through DARBY O'GILL. No impression made on me. But then I saw DR. NO...! Still my favorite Bond movie. What an actor, what a star! Four decades of strong work. Yes, "strong" is the most appropriate word for him.

I see his widow has now revealed he was struggling with dementia at the end. Seems completely unnecessary to announce that now. If we didn't know when he was alive, surely better to let him pass with dignity.

I was listening to a lot of music by Ennio Morricone last week. A lot of the stuff that I had in heavy rotation was stuff from the Leone films, but another track that had multiple listens was The Death Theme from The Untouchables. Now I'm not superstitious, but...

It's a great piece of music, both the original and a newer version by Yo-Yo Ma. Morricone and Connery both had a huge influence on cinema and we've lost them both in the span of a few months.

I watched THE WIND AND THE LION last night, THE NAME OF THE ROSE will be on tonight. My 2 favorite non-Bond films with Connery.

THIS was a tough one for me to hear... Sir Sean Connery was a great actor and I really enjoyed his roles throughout his career from Bond to Highlander, The Untouchables & playing Dr. Henry Jones in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Condolences to his family, friends & fans.

-C!

Not sure why you'd consider OUTLAND a "guilty pleasure", Greg!

RIP Sir Sean Connery

Finding Forrester is quite a little gem I enjoy and have rewatched once a year
since I first saw it.
