Lucky dog! My iPhone is a sneaky SOB that's always trying to undermine me.

Seriously though, that's a gorgeous page --- you have such an seemingly effortless touch that gets right to the essence of a scene. Just enough detail to dazzle the eye and satisfy the brain, but no more.

breathtaking page!!!

my eyes were "funneled" down from the mountains to the cabin before I even knew what was happening

I also feel like coloring or inking that page would definitely detract from its beauty

The question is, what would it look like if Walt Simonson inked it?

JB: What would you expect/hope to see for inks on a page like this?

...and I hear wind howling, and I smell the cold and the smoke and pine needles and I feel the wind and the chill and I shiver a little and WHAT A GORGEOUS PIECE OF WORK FOR THE START OF WINTER! After all, most of us had our first big snow storm two days ago. That is a perfect companion piece. I wish it were for sale - it is perfectly situated in the scene and also perfectly John Byrne art - no doubt.

In a cabin in the woods there lived a X-Man. Not a nasty, dirty, wet cabin, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy cabin with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a X-Man cabin, and that means solitude.

It reminds me of a Bob Ross painting, but that is a lot more happy little trees than Bob usually puts into one of his paintings.

Awesome looking page.

Aren't forests in comic books supposed to be rows of jagged triangles left open for color (bright green)?

This is so great! What a knack you have for finding a balance between what makes an image look like part of a comic book and what makes an image look like part of the real world!

This page is truly amazing.

Mr Byrne, when I see landscapes like that I realize how much I'd love to see your vision of Middle Earth...
