My version of Captain Mar-Vell comes straight from Neal Adams’ AVENGERS. That’s where I first “met” the character.

•••
That influence also shines through in your rendering of Angel, using Adams' classic costume design. Another favorite.

Since the Skrulls are out of the bag, so to speak, this:Typo -- "dangers" for "dangerous".

Really like the leatheresque texture of their skin. How long has it been since you’ve drawn the Skrulls proper and not just the Super Skrull?

The bad thing about seeing these pages is we’ll never know what happens next!

Beautiful perspective on the largest panel.
Maybe the skrull commander can be forgiven for saying "dangers"---he's a non-naive speaker after all. :)
Marvel should just pay you to put out a series with an erratic publication schedule that rambles through the (original) Marvel Universe, going with whatever sparks your fancy. No limits, not continuity requirements. Just tell the stories in your head and bring their characters (back) to life. It would be pure gold. One draw-back of a corporate-backed effort would be that most inkers would hide the gorgeous pencil work.
On second thought, never mind all that. I'm just thankful for what you're doing right now.

Agreed!
On the other hand, the FF are my favorite superhero family/team, and since no one does them better than JB, I'm thankful for what's being shared!

The Skrulls featured in Marvel - The Lost Generation, a mere 20 years ago!•• And many "fans" threw hissy fits about that, since we ALL KNOW the Skrulls first came to Earth in FF2. This discounting Roy Thomas having retrofitted them into the 1950s long before LOST GENERATION came along.
