Shocked that I'm the first to post about this fantastic Netflix limited series.  I just finished its seven-episode run and to say that I loved it would be an understatement.  I think it's brilliant.  It's movie quality in every sense of the word.

Featuring a great cast, a wonderful period set designer, a phenomenal costumer, a brilliant writer and director, this limited series is A+++.  Don't let your lack of knowledge about chess be a deterrent to watching. That's just the background to this fantastic story.  If you loved FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, where football knowledge was neither required nor called for, you'll love this story.  And if any sport is a turn off to you, this doesn't require a modicum of that particular knowledge to enjoy.  It's a human story well told and worth the time. Any more would give it away.

Highly recommended ! For someone who knows nothing about
chess, I was concerned it will be boring, or I would not
understand a thing. It proved me so wrong !
