The article is written by Jude Terror. His writing is very cynical and sarcastic but I do believe he is a Chris Claremont fan. I think "Legendary X-Men writer Chris Claremont, the greatest living comic book writer in existence" is more hyperbole than an honest take.

In my opinion, Chris Claremont is a 'One Trick Pony' and I think he knows it. CC wasn't on any other book, since JB, with any real longevity as far I recall.

Chris worked on a few projects after X-Men that had their moments. The problem, IMO, with Chris is that he loves words and not stories. I recall too many plots that never paid off or played out in ways that really didn't feel...cohesive? comprehensive? to the characters or even the introduction of the plot. Things felt very loosey goosey whenever he didn't have a strong co-plotter or editor. I would not call Chris a “one trick pony”. Quite the opposite. As I have noted before, altho people marvel (ahem) at his long run with the X-Men, he changed the direction and the characters so much and so often that it was really as if he was writing multiple books consecutively. Hardly “one trick”.

I mean, yes, he works in the field of super hero comics. He's done a lot of X-Men-related stuff. To say he hasn't been on any other book since JB with any real longevity as far as you recall is OK, so long as you acknowledge this is all to do with a limitation in what you can recall.

He developed a tendency to revisit a lot of things (Phoenix and Day Of Future Past) and to just outright rerun some others (numerous alternate universe/future children, even had one in his Fantastic Four). I did like his '70s Ms. Marvel what there was of it, and the '80s Spider-Woman over any other writers' work on either. My advice to him would be to never use vampires, ninjas, or alternate futures again.
