Gladiator doing his stuff... This is one of the things that comics are all about!

I know next to nothing about the Imperial Guard... But is that Impulse? I thought he was the one with the googles.

I’ve been trying to figure out the feeling I get with each page & I’ve
finally nailed it down.

It’s similar to a daily strip from a newspaper. Each page has a bit from
yesterday, move the story on a bit & then ends with a ‘oh boy, where
will this lead?’

& I’m loving it

I suspected, but I wanted to be sure. Thanks for the reply, JB.

Another sharp-eyes alert: Slight divergence in the plotlines in the pages on which I am currently working has made necessary another bit of micro-surgery on an already posted page.*

*Fair warning: this is NOTHING compared to what lies ahead!!

With 4 more publishing page for this month, I have a feeling that Friday's page will be a knockout!!!!!

Hopefully!

But here I’m referring to the bits of “surgery” I’ll be performing. Some of it retroactive!

"I know next to nothing about the Imperial Guard... But is that Impulse? I thought he was the one with the googles."

Not sure any of the IG sport 'googles' but yes, I think this is an inadvertent faux pas. Impulse is the LSOH Wildfire wannabe and the character shown in today's excellent page  appears to be the LSOH Lightning Lad wannabe (Tempest).

However - it's no big deal - who's to say that Cyclops, having only encountered the IG briefly, has gotten his code-names awry, and Tempest is too polite to call him out. ;-)

The rescue of Empress Lilandra!

I couldn't help feeling the unspoken grief of Professor X, as his love for Lilandra has long been a fact of life in my mind. But this has been a hallmark of "ELSEWHEN" -- many feelings that could be driven home for the reader through inner-monologues are left unsaid and remain for the reader to interpret through context.

I should have realized when the Imperial Guard re-entered the story that we weren't just going to "move on" from the death of Lilandra -- but I have to admit that I didn't see where this was heading until today. And it feels great!
