Mr. Byrne - Thor works because the Power of Odin. So of course he can fly. And I guess technically, since he's much stronger than just his mass, anything his muscles fling that he can hang onto will drag him through the sky, literally.

Nah, I'll stick with the Power of Odin instead.

I recall Avengers Annual #8 in which the Avengers battled Dr. Spectrum. Quicksilver was checking on Wasp, I think, and he saw Spectrum. He immediately started evasive maneuvers - but Pietro can't move at lightspeed. Thus... ka-wham. Flash is faster than Quicksilver, yes, but even so... I need a LOT of dramatic license with that one.

TANGENT: I double checked this online, and I saw several issues of the self-same issue for sale. One's description was "Brand New." That's QUITE a feat with a 1978 comic!

Sorry if this has been asked before, or if there’s a color version out
there somewhere (a very quick search didn’t turn up anything), but JB
do you have a color scheme in mind for Magneto’s X-Men?

--------------------------------------
He can fling something the same mass as himself far into the sky, but he cannot drag himself by flinging an object. When he flings his hammer, he imparts a force on it, which accelerates the hammer. Newtons' third law tells us an equal and opposite force is exerted on Thor's body when he does this. If he holds on to the hammer, he goes nowhere. Look at hammer throwers in the Olympics at the point of release. They are not pulled forward at release. They are going backward.

Magic is our answer.

By the way, what color would this Angel costume be?  The dark blue or the deep red?

It was red in the original What If story.

Was that an actual published story? I was not aware. That looked like a colored commission to me.

It’s a commission, and of course it was black and white.

Nightcrawler said the costume is "different", and Angel was wearing the deep blue in GSXM1, so.... not blue?

It's different because the white on his costume now forms a 'V' on his torso, which it did not in the original Adams design.

Since (as I mentioned) Magneto 'gave' the costume to Angel in-continuity, I would assume that Archangel's would still be dark-blue/black.

Putting colour to one side, the costume is different.

Cyclops' yellow head and Jean's red to brown boots screamed fan-coloring to me.

Yow, sure hope the next time we see Kurt it isn't as blue furry chunks!

If I had a vote for the M-Men (?) colors I would have dark green on Jean (if that is Jean) and dark blue on Warren, but so far we've only seen some of them, and others not at all who may not appear here. I always see Jean Grey as liking green... does she have green eyes? That's why I like wearing the color. :^)
