I think I recognize those boots in the last panel - and OF COURSE that character would be a huge jerk!

Ditto on those boots, Jason.

Though JB has thrown me for a loop a few times...

Ah, I see another clue in the image as to who it is! Yes, the personality makes sense.

Not to jump too far down this rabbit hole, but those are not the same shorts shown in issue 19.

Found on Rob Liefeld’s Twitter page (not from Liefeld):

I had read a while back that Marvel’s EIC had met with Byrne about publishing this, but he would only do that if they allow him to finish the remaining issues of his XMen: The Hidden Years series. 2 Xmen series by Byrne, one of which is already completed seems like an easy win

Where does this stuff come from? XHY was not part of any discussion with Marvel.

(This seems entangled somehow with the persistent myth that XHY was intended to be a 29 issue miniseries.)

Wonderful pages, JB.

You always draw a terrific Nightcrawler.

I was kind of hoping that this would be a whole issue where every panel showed Kurt teleporting his way to the mansion. :)

But seriously, I am very excited about what is too come.

Enjoying every aspect of this series.

Ho-kay.... tho I am curious as to just when between the first and last panels of this page you had time to hope this!

I'll give you all credit for possibly figuring out the identity of the person in the last panel - I'm stumped!

It has gotten to the point where one cannot trust anything they read. That's why this forum is SO refreshing---first hand communication with you, the author. Something real---not just an echo of a rumor bouncing around cheaply in cyberspace.

Thank you for this as well.

Yeah, I'm also stumped as to the identity of the creep-calling, boot-wearing person. Only a day to wait, though.

Looking at these pages makes me realise how long Nightcrawler's feet are. And how his hands creep me out without the gloves!

Ah, but IS it only a day?
Tomorrow's page could very well start off "Meanwhile..."

You know how JB says you always hurt the ones you love?
...he loves us fans a LOT. ;)

(just kidding, JB! don't hurt me!)

I’m sure it will be worth the wait.
