I blame Paul Frees and Ted Cassidy. :) Mr. Byrne, how do you hear the Thing's voice?
This reminds me a little of the old Marvel Super Heroes cartoons. A little movement of the characters, and they'd be there.

Matt - You beat me to the punch! I was going to post about this here after the first three episodes were up. (#3 hits next Tuesday.) The Negative Zone storyline is what got me into collecting and hooked on JB's work.
JB, thanks for taking a peek at it! I hope that you continue to do so, as I release more. I feel like they get a little better with each video and we are really firing on all cylinders by issue #254.

Eric, I was reminded of those old Marvel cartoons where they panned / zoomed / manipulated comic panels too. I can only imagine all the work of erasing word balloons, etc. and timing this out. Of course the great source art is the key but I found the production values including music and voices to be generally solid. Reed and Sue in particular seemed well cast.

Eric — In her first appearance, Alicia was able to recognize Ben by his voice (in a very significant scene) even tho Reed had temporarily reverted him to his human form. Something hardly anyone paid much attention to, but which stuck with me.

Mr. Byrne - Certainly, and that's what convinces me that Ben's voice doesn't change no matter which form he's in*.
But is he a tenor, a baritone, a bass? I can't imagine he speaks like a high brow, but is his voice a little rough? Or is it pretty smooth? Is there anyone whose voice makes you think of his (not necessarily a sound alike, but close?) Thank you, sir.
*This is actually one of the things they got right in the Fantastic Four movie. I feel that Michael Chiklis was pretty good on it. When the Thing called his fiancee, she couldn't tell that it WASN'T Ben calling.

When I watched FORD VS FERRARI I was struck that Jon Bernthal was perfect casting for Ben Grimm as Kirby drew him. Might as well take the voice, too.

Voice-wise, I've got to go with the late actor William Bendix (THE BABE RUTH STORY, LIFE OF REILLY (TV)). He and Ben even share "Watta revoltin' development!"

Liev Schreiber is inspired, Peter! While his signature Ray Donovan character was more South Boston than the Lower East Side, I totally think he could adapt to the Grimm affect. Plus he has the acting chops.
