Welcome all, to the month of March. Only one comic is being set aside for me this week:
Batman #106.
Of course, I'll be picking up a number of books that are in my file box, likely on Friday this week.

A week of #1's...
ENIAC #1- New book from a new company.
BRZRKR #1- Keanu Reeves and Ron Garney. I'm a big Ron Garney fan!
Nocterra #1- Scott Snyder and Tony Daniel. Probably not to my tastes.
Fire Power #9- Pacing aside, something keeps me coming back (Chris Samnee?).
Sensational Wonder Woman #1- Some Wonder Woman stories.
Suicide Squad #1- I'm super loyal to the John Ostrander run but this team is interesting to me.
Star Wars High Republic #3- I don't like this as much as I want

I get my books from DCBS, and they had an issue with Diamond's Memphis warehouse and the big winter storm, so my list of books a-comin' may be a touch off as they play catch-up. - Byte Sized #3 - AWA/Upshot's miniseries. Cute, cartoony art, but I've read 2 of the 4 issues and am waiting for the story to start.
- Crime Syndicate #1 - Always been a sucker for this --- errrr --- team. The whole idea of Earth-3 and the Syndicate is so fraught with contradictions and complications. It'll be interesting to see how this story goes.
- Crossover #4 - My first exposure to Donny Cates' work, and his writing is so effortless to read. It's a joy.
- Infinite Frontier #0 - Gotta figure out what is what after that Death Metal mess.
- Judge Dredd Megazine #426 - On an extended audition of Dredd after years of ignoring his world. It's...interesting. I wonder why nobody screamed bloody murder that Batman Who Laughs is a Judge Death knockoff.
- Nuclear Family #1 - Excited to read this one. Looks very promising.
- Post Americana #3 - I love dystopian fiction, but this is grotesque...bordering on ludicrously so.
- Sensational Wonder Woman #1 - Ummmm...a Wonder Woman book? I have no idea why I ordered it.
- Suicide Squad #1 - Probably won't continue this, but worth kicking the tires.
- Two Moons #1 - Another book with a real interesting elevator pitch. I hope it comes through.
- We Live #5 - I am not a manga guy and shy away from American books that appear manga-derivative. I don't like stories with annoying kids as the protagonists. Despite that, I LOVE what the Mirandas are doing with this title. This first arc has been wonderful.
Then, I grabbed ENIAC #1 (really interesting premise -- rogue AI) and BRZRKR #1 (The Rafael Grampa cover was as much a lure as Keanu Reeves' name on the masthead) at the LCS today.

Didn't realize that was out this week; I thought it was coming out mid-month for some reason. Snagged a "not first printing" from the one store within an hour's drive that carries the book. The books all sound interesting, but the distribution model is kind of annoying. And for those who think we don't have speculators anymore, try to get the book on ebay. Jeez.
Speaking of ebay, decided to indulge my single issue fetish for Something is Killing the Children (#2,4-7,9 arrived this week) and continued filling in Justice League of America holes (#9,17).

NOCTERRA #1 - A good launch, I like Scott Snyder's creator-owned work (especially Wytches.) Daniel's art is quality but does feel a bit too '90's Image' at times too. Still, this one seems to be off and running.
JONNA AND THE UNPOSSIBLE MONSTERS #1: Chris and Laura Samnee are doing a kid-friendly book, so far it's fun, albeit a bit slight. But I know and like Chris and Laura and will be glad to support and enjoy this one.

FIRE POWER #9 - Chris Samnee's art is a treat for the eyes. I just wish the issues didn't fly by so fast.
JONNA AND THE UNPOSSIBLE MONSTERS #1 - Ummm... It has art by Chris Samnee.
