“ Here's my thing about requirements for vaccinations before you can access certain things. I can see both sides.”
********** I was adamantly against the idea of vaccine passports, on the basis that young healthy people cannot get a shot when they want it (yet, in Canada).
But then someone pointed out anti vaxxers will continue to resist getting a shot long after they are readily available. Come September, yeah, I think a vaccine passport will be a good idea if so many people remain unvaccinated to keep the disease as a public health concern.

Come September, yeah, I think a vaccine passport will be a good idea if so many people remain unvaccinated to keep the disease as a public health concern. ------------------------------------------ Once everyone has been offered the jab, bring them on. The only people who won't have been vaccinated are the idiots. It will be interesting to see what proportion of cases they make up towards the end of the year, because they are going to get it a lot worse than the vaccinated come that time.
We operate a food pantry and there is one , 65-70 year old lady, and she just starts shouting about not having to wear a mask, it all being a con etc. I've not been there whenever she has arrived, but if I was .....
My wife also worked at another charity that does a lot with young people. Really scary how many of the people there don't believe the virus is real and refuse to wear masks. She was at a meeting yesterday - small room. When she arrived, no one had a mask on. Some idiot made a comment about her mask when she arrived - we have REALLY good N95 masks, and then someone else commented that they didn't need to wear masks. She put them straight pretty quick and everyone ended up wearing a mask for the rest of the meeting. GO WIFE!

After I got my jab, I did something I am usually reluctant to do - I ate healthy food. I wanted to stave off any reactions. I am not sure if it helped, but it helped me to shake up my usual meals.
At the very least, it became a great excuse to treat myself to the more expensive sushi!

I got the Johnson and Johnson jab, but was cautioned that it's only one because it's twice as strong. Which means (temporary) after effects may be twice as bad. Ugh.

James, definitely grocery store sushi! They make it fresh in the morning for the lunch crowd.
There is a combo gas station/McDonalds in Marina del Rey, and I cannot bring myself to ever go to that McDonalds. I just can't wrap my mind around those two things being in the same facility. I was a teenager working in fast food, and we weren't the most efficient team. While the chance of someone mixing up the hose that goes to the soda machine with hose that goes to the gas tank is remote, I feel human incompetence is resilient enough to make it a possibility!

Oh well, at least in March, the McDonalds can offer a Shamrock WD-40 shake or a McRim sandwich. ;-)

This past Tuesday, I got the J&J one and done shot. I've been feeling okay since. A little fatigued sometimes, no soreness.

Received the J & J yesterday, and so far, doing fine: a bit sore (like any other vaccination/flu shot), achey, and a little tired. I'm glad I got it. It feels great to know in a few weeks, when my antibodies build up, I will be protected. My wife goes next week.
