Wow issue 25 already...it's amazing.

Being far from the US and out of the loop of the comics biz/universe, is this free and free willed, unprecedented,  independent, unedited comic venture on JB 's part making any waves apart from around here on these forum pages ?

Sorry about the "shadow" down the middle of today's pages. Mysterious scanner artifact.

One of my favourite things as a kid were cutaways of secret headquarters and the like.  Nice to see JB employ this trope.  Feels like it's been ages since someone has done this in a book.

There is more comics in this 2 page spread than most get in
22 pages. What a treat. Love the expressions on Kitty and
Ashley's faces, plus Peter's "should I go with them",
perfectly on point for the characters. I guessed right
about the location too. Masterclass in comic book art and
writing.

Cutaways are fun to draw--tho there will always be those readers who take Stan's advice too much to heart, and "clip and save" such drawings, referring back to them to make sure various interior shots are always on model.

(When I was drawing FANTASTIC FOUR, I assumed--tho didn't state--the walls and floors were fungible, and moved according to Reed Richards' needs.)

Todays paged sparked a memory of when I used to draw cutaway mountain bases as a kid after seeing something like that in a WWII magazine describing the Maginot Line. Needless to say, I did NOT draw as nearly as awesome as today's and with such detail! Looking forward to this next adventure

This takes me back to being 11 years old!  Really digging this issue so far.  It's nice to have a "breather", but I have a feeling it won't last.

Also, I had guessed (in my mind) that the new headquarters would be Asteroid M!  What is its current state?  Abandoned due to Magneto's death?

When last seen, Asteroid M had fallen—or floated—apart, due to Magneto releasing his hold on the myriad parts.

In our universe, anyway.

Agreed. In almost the same way that including civilians and "mundane" settings in a comic about superheroes makes those characters all the more super, including moments like this one makes action scenes that much more gripping!
