Since I'm one of those readers who are oblivious to clues and tend to be surprised by everything, I noticed what appears to be two shadows the nurse is casting. Did I actually finally notice something or is it just an artistic choice?

Very glad to learn that the professor in the wheelchair is not our favorite professor in a wheelchair. I have a guess as to who he really is, but it's probably as accurate as my last ELSEWHEN guess, about the smoldering bear...which is to say wildly inaccurate.
In any case, this story continues to get more fascinating by the page. I'm curious about Logan's very devoted nurse!

I put the bald guy in a wheelchair only as a way of indicating great age. Only weeks later did I realize that glimpse on the splash might be an accidental red herring.

The great age comment gives me a good guess on who the mystery professor might be.
I spent the whole morning going through JB's Alpha Flight run and that didn't get me any idea on who this guy was though.

Didn’t appear in ALPHA FLIGHT. In fact, aside from a flashback I may have forgotten, I have not drawn him before.

Honestly, even with the reveal of the wheelchair guy on page two, I still imagined something of a red herring - I thought you were throwing a deliberate Niles Caulder reference!

I am fascinated by those who see the nurse as a love story. Then again, I
thought that dress in 2015 was black and blue not white and gold.

I've got a guess who the Professor might be based on what we know about Wolverine (so far) and other things in the Marvel Universe.
I'll be interested to see (even if they are not named) if my guess pans out.
