Imagine what technology Jahf has seen. Now think about how amazing Cerebro is that it could impress even him...!

Oh, no... Wait a minute... Is that the same story where Storm uses lock picks from her headdress to try escaping, but fails?

••

She doesn't succeed the first time, as Nanny interferes. But she tries again and is successful.

That's not Jeff Bezos – There's deep concern and compassion in those eyes!

I love this elder statesmen / scholar dynamic between Xavier and Jahf.

Looking at some ELSEWHEN comments on other sites, and I’m struck by how many of those posters are still trying to cram my series into the “real” continuity. A disadvantage, I suppose, for those who insist on getting their ELSEWHEN from those other sites, and so miss out on the discussion here.

Still don’t understand why people resist coming to the source!

Thanks for this version of Professor X by the way. He needed this almost as much as Cyclops, who is a joy to read as a competent, decisive leader.

Jahf is a nice foil to explain things.

When Chris and I did the All-Xavier issue, we received quite a few letters of complaint. Typically they ran to “Let me know when the X-MEN are going to be back in this book!”

Of course, our whole point in doing that story was to emphasize that X was as much a part of the team as anyone else.

Working on ELSEWHEN I’ve found I use Charles much more than we did back in the day. Seems perfectly natural, somehow.

I like seeing the professor feature prominently in the book. When he was sidelined for so long in the comics, it felt as though the X stood for "X'd out of his own team." He's a major part of the current X-titles but has changed so much, he's not really the same character as the fellow we see in ELSEWHEN. I'm glad we have this guy getting his due.

****

So do I. The Professor has always been one of my favorites.

I'm a little nervous about what's made him react like that in today's last panel, though!

Agreed. The Professor grounds everything in a nice way, and I am enjoying seeing more of him.

With regards to folks trying to fit ELSEWHEN in to Marvel continuity, I would take that as a compliment. They can sense the authenticity of your work and want to make it permanent.

The mistake is not just throwing all the stuff out from the point after you left the book because very, very little of it was worth a nickel. :)

And the current stuff...that's some other group of mutants with oddly similar names.

Tom: "...This reminds me of when Magneto captured the X-Men and had a nanny robot care for them like children..."

I thought the same thing! LOL!
