That Giarrusso is fabulous!!!

I remember reading that issue of INVINCIBLE and thinking, "I bet the original art to this splash would look awesome!"  I was right!

Not sure if I read your post about the Ernie Chan piece correctly (re: ?), but it's of Wolverine.

Awesome Nowlin piece! Reminded me of an awesome chat I had with him and Garcia-Lopez. I'm actually interviewing and having a meal with Garcia-Lopez in 2 weeks.... any questions from anyone here for him?

Well,if I'm not sure about the identity of a character, I've put a "?" as a description.   In this case, I initially thought it was Wolverine too, but it looks like he's got a beard...

I thought Wolverine as well. I think is sideburns are far down his face, plus his head is turned.

Fred, you get to hang out with Garcia-Lopez?!  God, I'm jealous...  (not that I'd have anything to say to him beyond "love your work," but still...)  No questions, but if there's a way you could talk to him about taking on commissions... :-)  (Hey, he already has an art dealer to work through.)

I've been remiss in posting some new acquisitions, mainly because I haven't gotten around to figuring out how to scan things on this new printer/fax/copier/scanner/toaster oven thingee I have, but here's one I'm particularly excited about (and the artist scanned it in for me):

The long-awaited by me and long-forgotten by you continuation to my JSA (40s-80s) vs. Spider-Man (ASM #1-50) series:

Batman vs. Ringmaster and his Circus of Crime/The Clown's Masters of Menace by Bob Budiansky

(A couple of them aren't of the correct vintage, but the inspiration for using Bob on this one came from him drawing the guys in the latter part of the first Blaze Ghost Rider series, which had Live Wire and Fire Eater, so...)
