Go figure. Guess the “diplomacy” directive wasn’t heard.

He’s consistent in having no understanding of the psychology of these
people. Threats, posturing and “let’s wait and see” is ridiculous and if it
weren’t Trump, I’d think, “this guy was in his prime at the height of this
mess in the 70’s….. “. Though he’d have no reason to pay any attention to it.

Well, I am surprised by the latest moves, IF they are true rather than bluster.
Let’s see.

Ah, Trumf drops the f-bomb expressing his ire over independent nations not kow towing to him.

Even Harry Truman, famed for the blue cloud he generated in the Oval Office, never sank so low. At least not in public. For Trumf I guess it’s The F*ck Stops Here.

The “ceasefire” Trump announced between Israel and Iran was never a thing.  It wasn’t real.  I suspect it was his hope that one would come to pass if he simply “Truthed” about it.  That’s his playbook.

He's just telling it like it IS, maaaaan.

Many have tried, but none will ever come up with a more potent insult for the man than Kurt Andersen's "short-fingered vulgarian."

How is it possible that the US president speaks bad about countries while being a guest in an other country?

Has any single person in history done more to destroy US brand equity than this ignorant, arrogant, reckless, stupid and dangerous clown?

Can't believe so many enable him at this point.

Charles: Has any single person in history done more to destroy US brand equity than this ignorant, arrogant, reckless, stupid and dangerous clown?

**

I think this is one of the undeniable points that should cut across all political boundaries-- the US brand has been our greatest asset for decades and decades. We were seen as a country that held to rule of law, guaranteeing a fair deal.

No longer. And re-establishing THAT kind of credibility will take decades if it is ever even attempted.

As to whether any other person has done more to destroy US brand equity-- I think the answer is "no", there's never been anyone to compete with Trump in this effect.

But, outside of our worst enemies, there's never been anyone who WANTED to destroy our brand equity before.

Trump's efforts to degrade our reputation until it's the equal of Russia's has been one of his only constant projects.

We now know that Trump's "poker-face" -- which consisted of weeks of titilating hints and moving all his troops out of the middle-east -- had the effect of warning Iran.

Iran moved their nuclear project and now we don't know where it is.

The bunker-buster didn't eradicate anything crucial to the project and amounts to a set back of a few weeks.

Trump fucked it all up.

Just like everyone knew he would.
