I really enjoy JB's writing on Avengers and Iron Man when
he was working with other artists - the balance of
interesting characters and engaging stories is still very
much there.

But the best example of JB's writing without being artist
are the prose books: FEAR BOOK, WHIPPING BOY, WONDER WOMAN:
GODS AND GODDESSES

I read Whipping Boy last year. It's quite the page-turner. I recommend reading it if you can find a copy!
