I just hope he doesn't ruin into Logan down there...

**

Considering the current condition of Wolverine in the MU, this is the best typo of the day.

That's very kind of you Anthony. I would, of course, send you an issue of the mag. I guess we have to wait until JB comes back

As for orther artists in my one shot mag, there are about 40 of them. Some of them I won't tell 'cause I want it to be a surprise, Some of them haven't send their drawing yet so I won't nam t hem (call me superstitious) As for the others, you can find small teasing parts of their drawings in the links below

Just be aware that you need to deal with JB on this. Sure I'm cool with it but realistically with any commission I could, say, not be cool with it being published but if JB wanted it published in something like a sketchbook I would have no say in it and he could go ahead with it.

I honestly have no idea on how JB would respond to this request (I'm certainly not going to mindread) but we'll see what sort of outcome will become of this!

I love the drawings on that link! I'd buy that book if i saw it on the shelves. Awesome stuff so far!

Thanks Anthony; and there's somemore stuff coming in (+ some images sent to me by Wil Eisner 'agent and friend Denis Kitchen) If JB agrees for this com to be in my tribute mag, you won't have to find it on the shelves 'cause the mag will come your way all by itself

No shelves by the way : I'm paying for a small printing run (cover price won't cover the printing price, the point not being to make money) I will only sell it via internet (a lot of the guys who bought my Daredevil mag from 2007-JB cover btw- are ready to buy this one so I shoul not have too much problems selling those copies

I'll ask JB as soon as he's back

I, for one, would love to hear the phone conversation someday between JB and Frank Miller that would start off with Miller asking, "So John, what did you think of my movie???"

To enjoy that conversation I think I should watch the movie first...

I only have a few Spirit comics done by Eisner but I've always loved the characters. And I love this commission .

••

It's not me you need to deal with. It's DC, as the current © holders.

Thank you for the answer John

So I guess it is a "done deal" (if that's still fine with you) because here is what Will Eisner Estate wrote me :

"We provide permission for any Spirit material you wish to use, from excerpts up to a full story or two.  More substantive use of The Spirit, will require separate permission from DC Comics."

I will send an issue of the magazine to you (via Jim?), and one to Anthony, as soon as it's out
