…the depth of the window under the gargoyle is amazing.

••

Since you're not the first person to mention this, I will use it as an opportunity to again comment on the immense satisfaction I get when people notice the LITTLE stuff in my drawings.

That is a great image of Batman! And yes, wonderful background details as well.

Love it! Also, I noticed the windows above Batman's shoulder appear to have the lights out since you didn't just make them black, but filled them after doing the window panes. The background is a bit like a master lesson in texture contrasts. Gratz to the owner and put another mark on the wow meter.

Not to go on about the background (because as we know JB doesn't
do backgrounds) but the depth of the window under the gargoyle is
amazing.

To say it's my favorite part of this piece might be a bit of an
overstatement. The rest of the background , the gargoyle, as well as
Batman himself are perfect. But, I still love that I see the window
around the corner of the building through that window. That's really
cool. Btw, is there a couple watching tv in one of the small windows?

Interesting! I was imagining a couple of framed pictures hanging on the wall, but now you mention it, I can see another window there.

No. I deliberately do not include any human forms in the "stuff" in the windows of my nighttime cityscapes. There's already too much chance of the inkblot effect creating things that aren't there!

Very nice! I love the perspective. I need to grab onto a railing.

That's just astonishing. Easily one of the best Batman images I've ever seen.

It's been decades since I've bought a Batman comic book, but I'd buy the bejeezus out of this.

JB the lack of shading on Batman was this to contrast with the background so he stands out more? Or am I just misreading the composition.
