11" x 17" illo of Batman with a city background. The details are:

- please draw Batman in the Jim Aparo vintage costume (yellow oval around bat on chest)
- background is a city at night
- please draw Batman in one of the following poses:

    (1) swinging through the city
    (2) perched/standing on a rooftop with other buildings behind him

I just love your Batman, JB. It is so right every time. The BG is amazing. Well done and congrats to the commissioner.

I just love your Batman, JB.

Have I ever mentioned how much of a kick I get out of a simple phrase like that? And I don't mean the praise -- for which, much thanks! -- but the fact that there is such a thing as "my" Batman. That there are people who can make an association in their minds between my favorite character* and me!

Gorgeous backgrounds!!!

The rendering of the gargoyle is so skilful, it looks so solid has a real heft to it, and then the frames of the windows and the ornamentation on the buildings are just beautiful.

For some reason I also love the soles on Batmans' boots. AndThat is one, long cape! Great use of shadow around his body and the portrayal of the drapery is brilliant.

Agree with Jason. Your Batman ranks up there with Aparo and Adams as always being perfect. Don't tell Neal, but I like yours better.

Fantastic piece JB. That is Batman!
Your cityscapes look like Gotham to me. I really like the bridge and the window under Batman. The cape thou it really works within the composition of the piece . I keep thinking my goodness how does he keep from tripping over it.
