An extremely beautiful commission. I will toss my hat into the "I would buy this book" arena. Congrats to the proud owner. I never would have thought of a 20x30 "cover", but now that I've seen it I can't help but wonder about a full issue of art at that size. Ugh, I think my heart just skipped a beat.

My memory could be failing me here, but didn't someone post a photo of Frank Miller working on some art boards that were much larger than industry standard?  With printing being so good these days I wonder how well this art would shoot down for publishing a treasury edition or even a comic sized cover. Thank you Dan for the full sized scan. So much to stare at and smile.

It is times like this I wish I had an unlimited supply of money. That way I could buy all these commissions for myself.  Once again consider me jealous. The artwork is just amazing on this piece.

Another great commission that is just plain fun. The main reason I like these commissions is the fun factor. Congratulations to the commissioner.

P.S. I agree with Paul, it's times like this I wish I was some internet billionaire so I could get a Byrne commission everyday!

AWESOME!!! Nobody draws these characters like JB. Great idea for a cover image.

Great idea for a commission. I always smile when I see JB get the opportunity to do the Fantastic Four in a commission. And Doctor Doom is just a super bonus.

Aargh! Add mine to the list of voices who just wants to see the full comic of this!

Particularly because while, as JB pointed out, there's not much that can hope to take on Dark Phoenix, it's also fair to say that if anyone has the ego and hubris to attempt it, it'd be Doctor Doom...

(really digging the metal texture on Doom's armour - there's a tangible 'realness' to it that just looks very cool)
