Enjoy the detail on the thighs John!

Reminiscent of issue 1 (or maybe issue 2) of your run on the Demon and how you balanced the muscularity and size of the upper and lower legs on Etrigan perfectly.

By the way, given the description of Thor standing in a battle ready pose and swinging the hammer, I was, for a brief moment, tempted to go "Wolverine" on this piece. To have Thor standing, almost casually, cocking a finger toward an unseen foe as he twirled the hammer almost nonchalantly at his side.

Not what the customer had in mind, I decided.

I like the idea of a cocky, self sure Thor, egging on a foe into a butt whupping.  I mentioned in another thread that Thor is the one title I would have loved to see you on regularly.  Month after month of Asgardian warriors and legendary gods and space titans battling in fantasy realms is a very exciting prospect for me.

If I had my Cosmic Cube I'd make it happen.  But I lost it in a card game.

It doesn't get much better than this!

I admire the way you draw Thor's boots.

Just recently returned from my honeymoon and I need to check with Jim Warden, but I think (and hope!) this one is mine. What a powerful, beautiful drawing of Thor. Magnificent.

You let your honeymoon get in the way of collecting original art?  And you call yourself a fan???  :-)

Congrats on a fantastic piece!!  Great idea to commission JB to do Thor.
