Those pages—at least one of which can be found online—had Cap battling Guardian in downtown Calgary (shades of things to come!) and were ultimately inked and colored by Duffy Vohland, who made Guardian’s costume orange and green “so he’s the opposite of Cap.”

I do rather like that orange and green costume (though not for Guardian).!

I asked "did JB ever draw any story by--Steve Gerber, Doug Moench, Steve Engelhart, Don McGregor, or Roy Thomas?" and the collective answer was no.

I just read the DC Finest edition that reprints BATMAN #400, written by Doug Moench with a slew of guest artists--including one page by John Byrne!  So, here is the complete Moench/Byrne "collaboration"--

Ah yes. Supposed to be dark and moody that windmill shot. So of course, knock out the black line with blue.
