I love this piece! I have a soft spot for the original X-Men uniforms (not costumes).

What JM said. I was one of the folks that didn't get the true 'scale' of the pieces until JB posted the actual-size inset. I'll be sure to let you know how that 30 x 40 piece holds up after I break into Wayne's house and heist it....
Did I say that with my outside voice?

Chris,
All due respect, but you're crazy. I think both the pieces you mentioned
are perfect in balance and composition. Keep in mind that JB basically
does these "to order". I usually tell him who I want in the picture, who I
want fighting whom, and what size paper to use and he always delivers a
better picture than I "see" in my mind when I think these things up.
Always. (Except the Hulk fighting Hercules and crew, which turned out
almost exactly as I saw it mentally when I was typing my request. Weird.)
I wish you could see them in person, I bet you'd change your mind.

Jason,
Have I ever mentioned my gun collection here on the forum?

Oops, I meant "uniforms" but typed "costumes" in the excitment of the moment, I guess.
Anyway, love it.

The ice bridge being cut by a buzz saw, not a flame thrower! So simple an idea, but I don't remember seeing that before. Great job JB!

I have a new favorite (Iron Giant and Superman runs a close second). The
detail on this work is really, really good. Nice layout, by the way.

I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, especially on Cyclops. This may be the single best shot of him I have ever drawn.
************************************
And that line comes out of the best Cyclops artist of all time, bar none.
An excellent commission, as usual. I particularly love, except for the afore-mentioned Cyclops, the way the background is vivible in between the feathers of Angel's wings and the way the Beast's feet embrace Bobby.

I love Iceman's swashbuckling boots. The top material (leather? unstable molecules? both?) is folded just right, and over the leg of the boot. A great look for Iceman. My compliments.
edit (I'm so used to seeing Iceman with frozen feet "glued" to his ice slide. The image really hit me.)
