I like the slightly open fingers on the left hand.  Odd, I know.

-------------------------

kinda makes it look like he's considering what to do next.

His clothes (from the waist to the neck) seem different. I haven't read a comic with galactus on it in a while.. did he change "costume", am i just imagining things or did you just decide to "play" with it, Mr. Byrne? :)

Amazing! Impressive look!

Fortunately, the Earth has too much pollution for his taste...

Looks pretty much the same to me, except he only has one disk on his chest
instead of three. I can't imagine anyone drawing Galactus without reference,
there are so many parts to his costume!

Great job JB! I keep staring at the starry background on this one (really like
it!).

hummm searched for other "byrne galactus" and they're pretty much the same... guess it's the lack of color that makes the chest part look different :)

yeah but the weird thing is I never noticed that disc in his chest before, nor that it was connected to the shoulders :/

edited for typos

This is probably my favorite single-character commission*.

*A quick glance through the galleries confirms that this is my favorite single-character commission....possibly tied for first place with the "Batman crouching on the rooftop overlooking the city" standard-sized commission.

was wondering if "feeding" takes up all of his time...

Does the process of searching for a suitable planet, setting everything up, etc. take so much energy that only a comparatively small part of energy ends up as "food" for Galactus?

* Anybody else see the irony in the drunk Galactus being the product of the same writer who turned Tony Stark into an alcoholic?

*****************

It is ironic -- but isn't that "ploy" (take 'em down with something simple) a time and tried sci-fi storytelling tradition? -- I recall Arthur C Clarke used the common cold in one of his earliest novels -- was it "Childhoods End"? --

To your knowledge -- did the writer you refer to have a problem with people who drank alcohol -- or perhaps a taste for it themself?

I still love the crossover between Galactus and Darkseid.  JB, did you have any more crossover plans for Galactus in particular?  Thanks

Talking about the crossover about Galactus and Darkseid... a friend of mine told me that Galactus is colored in a "weird" fashion... And in trunks! Was that a creative decision or coloring mistake?

Cheers!
