Villains like this always work for me. Who can't get creeped out by a swarm of bees? Everyone, cept maybe folks living near the poles, can relate to it.

Reason # 813 why I love comics: Is there anything more villainous than a Nazi made of bees?

Deciding to search the month and date in this section of the board has really reminded me how many amazing commissions are out there. This has to be in my top 10!

Always tough to pare down those lists! It’s like those people who sometimes post on the IMDb. “My 734 favorite actors.”Restarting this thread sent me clicking thru Clint’s CAF collection. Quite a range of styles! What amused me tho was the mindreaders in the comments. “You can tell Byrne likes this character!” Or not. Sometimes having no emotional connection to a character will trigger chemistry elsewhere.

Looking at this piece again, I find myself thinking that if I was designing Swarm today I would probably have more bones showing thru the bees. The skull and the rib cage at the very least.

Jimminy jeepers! I did a little googling to see if anyone might have also thought about showing more bone (yes and no) and found that several artists after me drew Swarm by individualizing the bees in his body. Ye gods!!
