Great picture, JB

I think Will Eisner would be more than happy with that interpretation.

Has this been the first time the Spirit has appeared on the commissions list? Would you be interested in more characters from the series?

Thanks. Have a good trip.

P.S. This has been the only time I guessed the character from the title.

As Ben Grimm once said: Remind me to get impressed after I get over being flabbergasted.

Damn. That is sweet.

Unbelievably great piece.  The pipes in the background are incredible.  Eisner would be proud, I'm sure.

The gloves....the light......fantastic job.

That's  a darn nice comission. You really seem to get the character and its world. Very fitting image for the character.

Would love to see you do some issues for DCs Spirit book.

This is going straight on my wall when I get it in my sweet hands!

This has turned out so well! I was always wondering what a JB Spirit would look like so I figured why not actually get JB to draw the character? I always love getting an artist to draw a character he or she is not known for. I have some more ideas for characters for JB to draw that he is not known for which I will look to getting done hopefully next year that are among my favourite characters. I had to get a Batman and Robin one first as they are my favourite characters though!

I've grown so fond of the Spirit character ever since I discovered him in the Darwyn Cooke version and then moved onto the original stuff which I absolutely love!

Over a period of time I'm going to get my favourite artists to draw the character. Most of which I believe have never drawn the character before. JB was the first on my list.

So JB enjoy your break knowing you've made this new Spirit fan very happy.

Beautiful. Love the detail. Makes me wish I could see a movie featuring The Spirit. Maybe some day we'll see one.
