Didn't think I'd find one in my price range but finally got a nice copy of Fantastic Four #353, so that's all the Simonson issues!

Did Walt Simonson never do Devil Dinosaur? He would've been a great fit for that! I liked his Metal Men quite a lot but don't remember any dinosaurs in those.

I also had the same it pays to be patient and keep watching experience with getting a Captain Marvel #1, the 1989 volume two with the future Photon... I'm wondering if this is genuinely historic, as in the first black female superheroine under her own title? I guess DC's Vixen #1 could've been if it hadn't imploded in the late '70s (and I sure wish they'd print that as a facsimile or something someday).

I've also added Thor back to #395 as I've enjoyed this Eric Masterson era, plus Thunderstrike #1-4 at the other end.

I was wondering though, there are sporadic Stan's Soapbox columns in some of the late 1990/early 1991 issues talking about a big project sometimes called 'The Marvel World Of Tomorrow' between he and Joltin' John Byrne... he even names two characters as being Ravage and Deathstryk (very 'of their time' names). I have no idea what all this was about, but I take it the project never happened?

Oh, I see it now... it seems '2112' published by Dark Horse in 1991 was kind of the Byrne side of what started as this World Of Tomorrow project while 'Ravage 2099' was the Stan Lee written series that stemmed from the same project.

Currently there is a Tom Defalco comic available for crowd-funding on IndieGoGo called The R.I.G.H.T. Project with artists Ron Frenz and Sal Buscema.

Great news for fans like me!

Did Walt Simonson never do Devil Dinosaur?
***
Simonson inked Jack Kirby's cover for Devil Dinosaur #8. Here's a link to a Devil Dinosaur sketch by Simonson:

Thanks for that Lars and Colin, you've made my day! :^)

I missed that earlier thread about Editor-In-Chief of the 2099 line, but I've never had much awareness of 2099 before or who was involved other than it had existed.

I've gotten down to the Iron Man Armor Wars II issues and a few more Sal Buscema Spectacular Spider-Mans on my 'want list' for this 'era'. Is there anything else noteworthy?
