I call bullshit, Perkowitz - you have been trolling JB about the Storm costume
since issue #20, and now this condescending act? You're being a douche
nozzle.

Perkowitz: Stop. Breath. Relax.

******

Y’know, if you’re going to take the time to be a condescending prick, at
least use the language correctly. It’s “breathe”. You breathe air by
taking a breath.

Looking forward to next week, when we'll see the next chapter of this story. There is so much going on right now, it might take some time for our heroes to rebuild their home and establish a new status quo. It appears the alt-mutants are off the board (for now?) but that leaves a lot of loose ends still.

This issue has been yet another spectacular roller coaster, but that last page was even more of an unexpected treat. Fingers crossed for both the alternate universe X-Men and our woodland pals.

I love the slight grey on that last page. Just enough to imply darkness and really contrast with the crisp white section of the page.

Love love love that last page, John - I always said to people I’d love to see you do a Wolverine/Sabretooth/Wild Child/Wendigo (the Canadian ferals, eh?) donnybrook, because we’d get 28 pages of your drop-dead gorgeous woodland and forest art...

*edited in ferals.

I’d probably set it in the Badlands around Drumheller! ;-)

Still amazes me that someone in Australia can type the word "Drumheller" into a computer and instantly be shown images from a world away!

Science!

The 21st century is actually a pretty cool place sometimes. I’m frankly amazed that I can have almost a real-time conversation with an artist who was almost mythical waaaay back when I was in high school...

(When I was in high school a buddy and I conceived a fan film--never made--about a couple of astronauts marooned on a desert planet. We planned to shoot in the Badlands. The Big Reveal would come when they found a human skull half buried in the sand, and realized they were on Earth.

(Genius! Where DO these ideas come from??)

Weelll, someone real had to be drawing them pretty pictures... Seriously, Uncanny 123 in Murderworld was the first comic I grabbed of your run and the first to make me go “I want to learn to do that!”, so thanks.
