Extremely surprising twist today, not sure what to make of
it, but I'm very intrigued and looking forward to seeing
where it goes. I'm 12 years old again and I love it.

I thought the possession sequence would tie into the demon story until issue 26. When I knew the demons were not part of the possession story I suspected many things, but didn’t settle on anything particular. I don’t think there was anything overt or obvious that gave it away.
Interesting to see the costume is unchanged regardless of the gender the Dark Phoenix “host”. Jean left one hell of an impression on the Dark Phoenix entity.

Perhaps all this time it's been the Phoenix costume that's some sort of sentient 'symbiote' that possesses the wearer ...
Nah, forget it - it's a godawful idea ... who'd ever go for that ?

Wonderful! Totally caught off-guard. My mind went to Proteus too-- not one moment of suspicion that Phoenix was returning.

I think there were enough plausible outcomes to the possessions that nothing was obvious. Proteus was a good guess. I considered it could be a completely new storyline to get a Dr. Strange cross over since it was passed out over a large span of issues. Certainly not obvious.

During the whole sparkles/squirrel/fox/bear sequence I was worried I was being WAY too obvious. ------------------------------------------------------------ ---- I thought of it with the Squirrel but kept it to myself so I wouldn't spoil it for others. I really wanted to see the Adventures of Phoenix Squirrel

to Jean when he yelled "Phoenix"! Pretty clever.
